Limited Visual Inspection:
The purpose of the Foundation Inspection is not just to look for "cracks" in the foundation slab; but to render an observation as to whether, at the time of the inspection, the foundation is "performing the function for which intended" or is "in need of repair"(See foundation care)
Foundation: 
   
Cracked Grade Beam This is a cracked grade beam.
   
corner chiping.jpg (42351 bytes) This is corner chipping. Normally corner chipping does not require repair unless it impedes the support of the brick. In this particular example the corner chipping impedes a post tension cable and requires repair. 
   
Photo Foundation Grade Beam Drop This horizontal crack in the exterior brick on this home was caused by beam drop. This means the foundation grade beam dropped and/or sagged.
